Dr. DEC DOWNEY
Dec has over 35 years’ experience in all aspects of pipeline design, installation and rehabilitation with special expertise in cured in place technology for gravity and pressure pipes. He has significant experience of research and development, product launch, international marketing, technology transfer, licensing and support. He has worked extensively in Japan and the Pacific Rim and is recognised as a leading expert in these markets as well as in pipeline rehabilitation. Dec holds a B.Sc. in Engineering Metallurgy and a Ph.D. in Materials Science from the University of Bath, UK. He is a Chartered Engineer and Chairman of the International Society for Trenchless Technology (ISTT). He is a member of the CIWEM Editorial Board.

ROBERT S. MORRISON, P.E.
Bob has thirty years’ experience in the design, manufacture and installation of pipelines for water and sewer utilities. He has expertise in buried flexible pipe design, long term performance of polymer pipes, pipe inspection using innovative technologies and renewal of gravity and pressure mains using sliplining methods. He has managed major GRP pipe operations around the world. He is a major participant in AWWA and ASTM standardisation committees on pipe design and installation, and is a contributing editor to ASCE’s Manual of Practice on Pipe Installation. Bob holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University, an M.S. in Civil Engineering from Newark College of Engineering and is a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas.

TOM SANGSTER
Tom is a chartered professional Civil Engineer with over 25 years’ experience in civil and geotechnical engineering. His experience covers the full range of underground infrastructure engineering and installation and rehabilitation technologies. Tom is a specialist in geotechnical engineering and has expertise in Asset Management, contracts, costing and risk analysis. He also leads Jason’s economic and market studies worldwide. He is a member of the British, European and ISO standards committees in geosynthetics. Tom holds a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the University of Surrey, UK, and an MBA from Warwick Business School.
