Jason has significant expertise in the design of pipe for direct bury or for jacked (pipe jacking applications). Design of pipes for specific conditions is an area in which we have considerable expertise and experience encompassing several design codes. Pipe design requires consideration of installation technologies as well as the service loads on the pipes and knowledge of the performance of different pipe materials, and the practical knowledge of all of these aspects enables us to achieve robust, safe and efficient designs for our clients.

Our expertise extends from the selection of pipe materials to meet operational, environmental and design requirements, the design of the pipes based upon suitable local codes or state of the art international standards, and project specification preparation through to advice on pipe plants and pipe manufacturing.

Our pipe design capability covers the full range of materials, applications and installation methods. We undertake structural design of pipes and joints and hydraulic design of pipelines. The structural design, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) utilized in support of design where deemed appropriate, includes specification and design of corrosion protection measures and coatings where necessary. Joint design takes into account pressure, installation method, and material characteristics.
