Jason Consultants’ rehabilitation experts have gained a wide range of experience as consultants, contractors and suppliers of rehabilitation processes and products in markets throughout the world over a period of 30 years. Our hands on experience of all aspects of problem solving, method selection, design, project specification and implementation, and quality assurance gives us a unique perspective and an unparalleled range of underground engineering skills. These are available to our Clients to provide viable, robust, durable, effective and economic rehabilitation and replacement solutions to the problems of decaying infrastructure.

Our extensive knowledge and experience in slip lining, cured in place pipe, fold and form, spray linings, spiral wound pipe, pipe bursting and close fit methods support our innovative approach to selection of materials and installation methods consistent with safe and efficient working practice, product longevity and process cost optimization. Our capabilities in these technologies will facilitate the reliable rehabilitation and on-line replacement of a wide range of underground assets with a minimum of disruption to local commerce and your community.

Our expertise in rehabilitation includes planning, inspection, assessment, prioritization, process and product selection, design, preparation of specifications and tenders, site supervision, quality monitoring and problem solving. In addition Jason Consultants can offer assistance with failure investigation and all aspects of forensic examination where an installation has failed to perform adequately, and with appropriate remediation measures.

Slip Lining
The insertion of discrete pipes and continuous pipes is a popular method for renovation of existing pipes where loss of cross section can be permitted and is widely practiced, especially in pressure pipe networks. Jason Consultants has extensive experience in the design, preparation of specifications, selection of materials for insertion and installation methods, rehabilitation design for partially and fully deteriorated situations and the hydraulic analysis to assess the performance of the sliplined pipe. Past projects have included slip lining with continuous PE pipe and the insertion of discrete pipes of steel, concrete, clay and fiberglass. Our monitoring and management experience of sliplining projects which covers a wide range of site conditions on an international basis can benefit clients risk and quality management initiatives.

Cured in Place Pipe
Cured in place pipe is the most popular method for renovating underground pipes and structures. More than 35,000 km of cured in place pipe has been installed worldwide since first use of the technique in 1970. The process is applicable to water, wastewater and numerous other underground piping applications in diameters from 100-2750mm as well as ovoid and other non-circular cross-sections. Its successful use requires careful planning and execution to maximize the benefit of this versatile technology. Our experts have worked extensively with these technologies since 1987 at a variety of levels in the industry and apply this extensive and unrivalled experience and knowledge to our Clients’ projects.

Jason Consultants’ experts have in depth, hands-on technical and operational experience of cured in place pipe design, installation and quality management worldwide. This experience includes renovation of sewer, water main and industrial process pipes, circular and non-circular pipe, service laterals and manholes. Our expertise includes resin and lining materials selection, installation and curing methods, problem solving and site forensics together with all aspects of routine and type testing, lining inspection and remedial work. Our consultants have worked on cured in place projects in North America, Europe and Asia from Japan to Australasia. Assistance can be given in all aspects of design, specification, site monitoring and project audit.

Close Fit Methods
Close fit methods are popular for the installation of continuous PE and PVC pipe particularly for gas, water and industrial process applications where sliplining cannot be used because of capacity requirements. Techniques include tension and compression based cross-sectional area reduction methods and fold & form procedures to facilitate installation. Jason Consultants’ team of professional engineers and scientists has extensive experience in the development, specification and use of a wide spectrum of these methods.

In the USA the AWWA M28 Manual defines various classifications of non structural, semi-structural and stand alone performance characteristics for close fit methods. A working knowledge of these products and experience of the installation processes currently available is required to make best use of this versatile methodology. Jason Consultants’ experts have this knowledge as well as in-depth experience of the development and use of these methods and can help Clients scope and specify to optimize their projects.

Our experience can assist clients with the selection of the most suitable products and processes, scoping and design of projects, preparation of contract documents and technical specifications, risk management, site supervision and quality management. This expertise is available worldwide.
